Hotel Casa El Moro

This was my third visit in three years, this time for four nights with a friend. We had the large room with two beds, a kitchen, and a balcony. There was lots of space, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the shower got hot if you used the left tap and waited a couple of minutes. The bathroom door was a little hard to close, but everything else was fine. I was surprised breakfast wasn't included anymore. The only options were white toast, cereal, milk, and coffee, which is too bad. There's a good breakfast spot across the street, El Nicho, and the Peninsula restaurant next door serves great food. Ask for a table upstairs. I'd stay again, since the street has lots of restaurants and a local feel.

Generally, I was very satisfied: the room was clean, the AC worked well, water was available, and the Wi-Fi was great. Reception service was good, and the place is centrally located in the village. There was no breakfast, perhaps because it's a slow time of year. I had three minor issues: the shower's hot water, inconsistent housekeeping, and the lack of breakfast. The beach is only a few minutes away on foot.

The breakfast was great, and the staff were warm and cheerful. The location puts you right in the lively center of this beach town, with lovely beaches and snorkeling just a short walk away. The room had weak water pressure, only warm water, and a firm mattress, and it could be noisy into the evening. We stayed one night and found it charming despite its flaws. Good for a night or two, though I wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay.

Our family of five had plenty of room to spread out, and having a kitchen and dining space was a nice extra. The pool was lovely for cooling off, and the beach, malecón, and Chedraui grocery store are all very close. There are several scuba shops within walking distance too. Breakfast was good, though we’d had enough of it by the end of our stay.
