Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun

The coffee shop at Margaritaville Cancun was a favorite, with fresh, delicious coffee, snacks, and sandwiches. The staff gave excellent service day and night. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The resort was spotlessly clean, the food and drinks were excellent, and the beach was marvelous. The staff made the trip for us. Emilio served us at the Beach House, Betsy coordinated activities, Olga looked after our room, and Miguel was our concierge. When our MTS (speedy shuttle) went to the wrong hotel and refused to come get us, concierge valet Angel promptly called us a taxi to the airport and handled it with ease. We're grateful to him and everyone for making our stay wonderful. 10/10, and we hope to return.

The staff made this trip for us. We had lovely interactions with everyone, from the wait staff and room attendants to the grounds crew. Because the resort is small, we kept running into the same people throughout the day. Miss Esther and Antonio at the Beach House were charming and kind to our kids. Norma and Reina at the spa took excellent care of my girls during their mani/pedi day. Jose did a wonderful job keeping our rooms looking excellent all week. Marcos, our personal concierge, handled our requests and checked in daily. And Miss Tana, thanks for being patient with my kids during the morning activities by the Blended bar. They loved painting and making bead bracelets with you! We'd just wrapped up a seven-night stay at Margaritaville Riviera Cancun, the family property, not its adult-only sister. Our two-bedroom swim-up suite gave two adults and three children plenty of room. It was a three-minute walk from our room to the beach. The resort is smaller than others nearby, but we liked how easy it was to walk everywhere, and it never felt crowded. There was no wait for dining, and we could always find pool loungers. The rooms were fantastic, and we loved our stay. This was our first visit, and we're already planning to come back by the end of the year. For our family, it was a 10 out of 10.

The staff are what made our stay so good. Antonio was wonderful at the Beach House for breakfast and lunch, Emilio was great there at breakfast and at Rita’s for lunch, and Armando kept the drinks coming and took good care of us all week at 5 OClock Somewhere Bar. I can't remember everyone's names, but the whole staff was fantastic. The entertainment and events were a lot of fun, especially Casino night. There was no real money involved, so it was fun without stress, and the card tricks were a nice touch. The resort is smaller, which we liked, and we never needed restaurant reservations or had to wait to be seated. Our room was huge and clean, with a great bed. The beach was beautiful and mostly clear after the first day. The pools were nice, though a bit cold.

The hotel opens straight onto the beach, and the staff were lovely. Emilio went above and beyond, always smiling and happy to see us. We spent 10 nights here and had a fantastic time. The hotel is at the end of an extremely long road, though, so there's nowhere to walk to from there. We had to Uber everywhere. Still, we had an amazing time.
