The staff really made us feel welcome and safe. We had to stay longer because of cartel conflicts in the area, and everyone looked after the guests and made sure we had food. We didn't know about the kids club at first, but our kids had a great time with the daily activities. Even while short-staffed during the lockdown, the team took such good care of them. They felt loved. The location is convenient, close to the marina and airport. It's a short walk to marina shops and restaurants, and we had a blast at the Thursday night market there. We also felt safe walking around the hotel at night with our two young kids. Old Town PVR is a short ride away. Our renovated room was clean, though the bed was a bit small, not queen size, and the pillows weren't very comfortable. Still, it was fine. A big thank you to all the staff at the resort.

The staff made us feel safe, well cared for, and happy during three days of lockdown after an unprecedented cartel defiance against the government. They couldn't leave after their shifts to be with their families because it wasn't safe, yet they looked after us like we were their own. I'm extremely grateful to everyone involved in customer service here, from the cooks and front desk to bartenders, room service, and all the rest. They deserve praise for being such excellent hosts. That's what makes Mexico special, hands down, the people.

It wasn't even busy, but when we asked the person at the hotel entrance who was helping people into cars to call us a cab, they refused and told us to walk to the street. We're both Marriott Bonvoy members of over ten years. One-star service at a five-star hotel. The staff need customer service retraining.

I loved the pool area, and we enjoyed our stay overall. The resort and its service were great, and we even got to use kayaks. The rooms are quite small compared with other hotels I've stayed in, and the food was just okay. Not terrible, but not that great to me as a Mexican with high expectations for Mexican food and seafood. The uneven elevator was the one bad part. I fell straight to the floor and badly bruised my knees. My nine-year-old niece had the same thing happen. Something was clearly wrong with that elevator.
