The apartment was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the AC worked well. There wasn’t a dresser, so folded clothes storage was limited, though there was plenty of space to hang things. The kitchen was modest but had the basics for two. We really enjoyed staying here. It’s in the middle of a lively neighborhood, so bring earplugs for sleeping unless you stay up late. Management communicated well, and there’s a small shop just across the street for things like water, bread, juice, and coffee.

I was here for over a week, and it’s easily one of the most welcoming, comfortable apartments I’ve stayed in. Candy is such a lovely host and really makes you feel at home. The beach is right there and it’s a perfect spot for getting around. 10/10.

The room was huge, spotless, and had a private balcony, living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Candelaria, the property manager, was attentive and quick to reply by text, and Monica from housekeeping welcomed me with a bottle of wine and showed me around the room. The hotel is practically on the beach, has a restaurant attached and a partnership with a beach club, and it’s only a block from the pier. I’ve stayed in lots of places over the years and wanted to try Olas Altas. This hotel is a Zona GEM, easily five stars.

The beach is close, the hotel was mostly clean, the housekeeper was kind and attentive, and the downstairs restaurant was a handy place to eat after the beach. Those were the good parts of my stay at Olas Altas Suites. The rest made it hard to relax. There was no running water in the building for a whole day, then no hot water for most of the stay. Staff didn’t give clear updates, which added stress. A strong sewer smell lingered through much of the hotel, and noise from the bar across the street went on until 3 a.m. most nights. I couldn’t get a good night’s sleep. I hope management deals with the water, odor, communication, and noise problems.

We love staying here. The staff are welcoming and helpful, and the location suits us perfectly.
