River Park Hotel

The mountain setting is stunning, the property is beautiful and brand new, and the staff are friendly. The infinity pool looks gorgeous, but with so many flies it wasn’t relaxing. Bring bug spray. There are only about 15 lounge chairs, even though the pool could fit dozens of people, and eating there wasn’t enjoyable because of the insects. The open air restaurant had a lot of flies too. The restaurant, bar, and coffee service all close at 6 PM, so after that there’s no food, drinks, or alcohol available. We found check-in confusing because there wasn’t enough signage. Even our driver was sent in different directions before someone walked us to the desk. Plan to buy food, drinks, and essentials before you arrive. You need a vehicle to get to stores, snacks aren’t clearly identified, and there’s no microwave to reheat anything. Without a car, you’re essentially isolated. Housekeeping was lacking too. The beds were never made, the floors weren’t cleaned, and water and coffee weren’t replenished daily. We got only two towels and no bath mat, even though the floors were very slippery. It’s a beautiful property with real potential, but there are too many operational gaps at the moment for a truly relaxing stay.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but we did a zip line package. The property was gorgeous, the staff were so helpful, and the adventure exceeded our expectations!

The rooms and pool are great, but keep in mind this hotel is connected to an adrenaline activity company, so it draws big groups of tourists.

The staff were incredibly kind and took such good care of our group. We also loved the beautiful setting, the biodiversity, and the delicious weekend buffet.
