One Saltillo Aeropuerto

The beds were really comfortable, but the place felt dirty, with hair that wasn’t mine scattered around. It has a lot of potential, and a thorough deep clean plus a few updates could make a big difference.

The rooms are tiny, and the thin walls let through radios and TVs all night, on top of the noise from the nearby trucking highway. Hot water was unreliable, and I froze. The parking area is also too small. Housekeeping staff talked loudly and vulgarly in the hallway, which carries sound straight into the rooms. There was lint and hair all over my room, a roach in the bathroom, and a putrid disinfectant smell when I walked in. At breakfast there were no forks and barely any food left. The attendant said “porqué llegó la gente”; there were totopos, watery salsa, and a naranjada that looked like faucet water. The hotel advertises a gym, but it was closed for maintenance with no equipment inside. I told the manager I’d chosen the hotel because I needed a gym while traveling. He apologized, then seemed apathetic and avoided taking responsibility with what felt like a practiced fake smile. It may look like a good price for what it promises, but with so few amenities it’s vastly overpriced. The place appears to be owned by Fiesta Inn, though there’s no sign of anything beyond poor quality. Other hotels can make small rooms feel welcoming, but the care and condition here make it a disaster. Avoid this dump.

It’s well located near the industrial area of Ramos Arizpe, and check-in was quick and efficient. The help before arrival could be better. During my stay, a National High School sports competition brought swimming and basketball teams to the area. The hotel restaurant was overwhelmed at breakfast, and there weren’t enough people in the lobby. It didn’t affect me much, but I saw and heard other guests getting frustrated. As an international hotel chain, they should be able to respond to a situation like that in time.
