Good service, and a nice place to stay and relax.

We only needed a bed after a tiring arrival, and for the low price the basic room was okay. The service was awful, though. The receptionist was grumpy both at night and in the morning, and didn’t even tell us our room number, so we had to work it out ourselves. The Wi-Fi was terrible. I wouldn’t come back.

We left as soon as it got light. During the early morning, I felt bugs crawling on me, and when we switched on the light, cockroaches were all over the headboard, mattress, and floor. The mattresses were also misshapen and uncomfortable, and the towels were old and frayed. I can’t recommend the place at all. It should be called Colonel's Nightmare.

We paid for two nights but decided not to stay, and they didn’t refund us. The parking lot didn’t feel very safe either. The room wasn’t clean, the old mattresses were uncomfortable and I could feel the springs, and the musty towels seemed older than the hotel. There was no air conditioning despite Rioverde’s heat, and no water in the room. The balcony had medium-voltage power lines running right past it. They provided just one small shampoo packet, and the promotional photos looked like they might be from five years ago because the place doesn’t look that way now. The staff weren’t trained to handle situations.
