The location is the one good thing: right downtown. I was in Saltillo for a family event over the weekend of Oct 25-27, 2024, and booked a room here. It was a nightmare. Stepping out of the elevator gave me an unsettling feeling, like something bad was about to happen. The room was a huge letdown: the doors were paper-thin and looked as though someone had tried to force them with screwdrivers or knives. The furniture was very old, the bed comforter was ripped, there were cockroaches by the sink, the toilet seat was missing, the shower had no light, and the balcony slider didn’t work. Some people say you get what you pay for, but I worked hard for that money and this dump wasn’t worth a penny. On my second night, someone offered me a place to stay elsewhere, and I took it without hesitation. The next day I picked up my belongings and went to the bus station. First and last time here. Travelers deserve more for their money.

The room was dirty, and the doors wouldn’t open properly. The elevator seemed to be the only thing that worked. Everything else felt old and poorly looked after, and the cleanliness was nowhere near what I expected. A very disappointing stay. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless they make major improvements.

I checked in and left immediately because I did not feel safe. The locks looked as if they’d been forced with knives or other sharp objects, and you could see into the room through them. The curtains were barely hanging up and wouldn’t close properly. The place was dirty, the elevator shook while I was in it, and the furniture was old. The staff did what they had to, but the owner needs to repair and clean this dump. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. If I could give it minus five, I would.

It’s an old local hotel in Mexico, with big rooms and not many amenities. I’d still choose it over the La Quinta down the block.
