The location was great, and the hotel has a lot of charm. Our family used around 15 rooms, and the staff were AMAZING. Ventilation was a problem in most rooms, though, especially in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Some rooms even showed signs of mold. It gets cold at night, so fans aren't needed for cooling, but better airflow would help. There are small dogs, cats, and birds on the property. They didn't seem to enter the rooms, but my animal allergies were barely manageable. Mornings after sleeping there were especially rough, and staying in the room for more than 10 minutes often left me miserable.

We had such a lovely stay at Barrio Antiguo. The staff were friendly, everything was clean, and the rooms were comfortable, with a huge, cool bathroom. The location and the beauty of the place made the fair price feel more than worth it. I'd happily stay again next time I'm in San Cristobal. Thanks!

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked reliably. The staff were friendly, and the location was terrific. The cute terrace was a nice extra. I'd come back.
