Hotel Betel Houzz

The prices are fair, and the rooms are clean and have what you need. It's close to the center and easy to reach the pedestrian walkways, yet far enough away that you avoid the noise. There's no parking on site, but there are two spaces a block away. Breakfast isn't offered, though the price still feels worthwhile. One small thing: the shower takes a while to get hot, so let the water run for a bit.

We arrived on December 27, 2019, and were shocked by how dirty the hotel was. There was hair all over the place. The bed we opened was covered in it, and so were the extra blankets stored in plastic bags in the closet. In one bathroom, hairs were stuck to the wall and scattered across the floor. The other room's shower wall had a clump of hair that was really unpleasant to see. We found more in every corner of the upstairs hallway too. The rooms were very noisy, and the street-facing balcony doors wouldn't close properly. In the end, there was no comfort, cleanliness, or convenience to be had.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the hotel was spotless. It's near the cathedral and central park, with excellent service and a great location. Highly recommended. If I come back to San Cristóbal, I'll stay here again.

We found the price affordable and the staff friendly, which made it a good place to relax. It's close to the city center and other attractions. There's no parking, but the night security guard watches over your car when it's left on the street.
