The woman who cleaned the room was very nice, which makes this harder to say, but I had a terrible stay. Around the fourth day I spotted bites on my legs and first assumed they were mosquito bites. They turned out to be BED BUGS. I spent the rest of my vacation scratching and searching for cream, which I couldn’t seem to find in Mexico. The hotel looked nice and was quiet at first, so we were happy with it initially. But this is a big no from me. People should know.

They kindly kept my bags at reception after I checked out. The hotel was a good deal and the room had a stove, though there wasn’t any cookware, so I was glad I’d brought my own pan and utensils. Maybe they’re still getting things set up. Construction was happening during my stay, and the hammering woke me up.

We’ve been travelling on a budget, so this place felt like a treat without being expensive. It’s probably the nicest hotel we’ve stayed in for quite a while, and it was put together really well. The bed could’ve been better, though it was still comfortable enough.

Clean rooms, good beds, and a hot shower. It’s central, and there’s a kitchen and fridge guests can use. Parking is a few blocks away. Recommended!

Everything was exceptionally clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A really amazing hotel, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone staying in san cristobal.
