I kept losing the internet signal every five minutes, and noise carries everywhere. The walls between rooms are drywall, so you hear TVs and conversations as if everyone were in one big room. The stairs also felt dangerous, especially with large luggage, and didn’t seem suitable for older people or kids. The place felt dirty and more like a motel than a hotel or hostel. We were fooled by the gay-friendly claim. There’s a small gay flag at reception, but the rest didn’t feel gay-friendly or even people-friendly. There were leaks everywhere, old and overused furnishings, and bad beds. The bathroom was really gross, with mold and yellow stains. We weren’t given a mat or anything, and reception gave us just one towel each to carry upstairs ourselves. Breakfast is included, with scrambled eggs and coffee. The eggs were good, but the coffee was really bad. It wasn’t worth the price.

The included breakfast was tasty and had a good variety. Our room was clean and nice, and the staff always tried to make the stay comfortable. WiFi in the room was really good, usually over 40 Mbps. I needed a solid connection for video calls, and they worked flawlessly.

The big kitchen is handy if you want to cook, and the tables on the covered outdoor patio make a pleasant place to sit. I stayed at Pepe Pancho for over a week and was very happy with my clean, comfortable room. Javier and his team were kind, helpful, and always around if I needed anything. I absolutely recommend Pepe Pancho!

We spent three nights there. The hotel is well located and okay, but my money was stolen from the room. I had some euros well hidden in my bag, and they disappeared on Christmas Day. Really disappointing for a hotel at this rate. They said they would check the camera, but I hadn’t heard from the owner in three days. From the comments, it apparently has happened at the hotel before. Keep an eye on your belongings if you go there.

The staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful, and the location is great. The room was clean. Internet was available, but sending photos or files was very difficult. Hot water took a while, and I had to wait for the cold water to run out first. The liquid soap dispenser by the sink was broken and didn’t work properly.
