El Encanto Inn

The night manager was the only saving grace on this visit. At 11 pm she kindly helped move us and our bags to a poolside room that happened to be available. I don't know what we would have done if those rooms had been full. I've stayed at El Encanto several times over the years, though not recently, and always found it charming. This time, I was appalled by how many restaurants and bars the town has allowed into what used to be a quiet district, and the Garden section has been affected too. But what upset me most was that you accepted my booking without warning us about the extremely loud music right next to room 103 every night. It was completely unacceptable and impossible to sleep. The pounding was so loud we could feel the vibration, and apparently it often continues into the early hours. No one mentioned a word at check-in. I can't imagine booking with you again. Very, very disappointing.

We’ve stayed in several of the suites across the street from the main, established hotel. The setting there is lovely, green, lush, clean, and inviting. Some people mention music from nearby restaurants in certain rooms in the main building, but we didn’t have that issue in the suites.

We’d definitely come back. It’s a cute little boutique hotel right in the art district, with lots of good restaurants nearby. The courtyard is lovely, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff are great. Most of the time, it felt like we had the pool to ourselves.

The location is the big draw, right in the arts district and close to all the fun and food. The hotel itself is clean and well kept, and the restaurant onsite is outstanding. There’s a lot of noise around the area, music at all hours and road noise. That’s not the hotel’s fault, it’s just a very loud neighborhood.
