Hotel Colon

The price is excessive, especially with the room in this state. It was dirty, with dust in the closet, grime and mold in the bathroom, and they hadn’t mopped beneath the beds. There was nowhere to put anything, not even a chair, so I had to leave my things on the floor. The mattress was misshapen, and the bed had only a quilt and sheet, no blanket or comforter. The window had no curtains and wouldn’t close, so cold air came in. Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the TV reception and picture were both poor. On my second day there were no towels, and I had to wait for someone at reception before I could ask for them.

On my first stay here, it met my expectations for service, quality, location, and price. I liked it in every respect, and I’d choose Hotel Colon over the more expensive options.

It’s in a great spot, very close to the cathedral.

The location and hot water all day and night are what made the stay worthwhile. On the second floor the Wi-Fi was weak, the balcony door didn’t seal properly and let in a lot of air, so the room got cold at night. The TV signal was poor, and the mattresses had sunken spots.
