Hotel Romo

The room was clean throughout our three-night stay, and booking was straightforward. We were also picked up and dropped off at the bus station, which was handy. It was small but workable, though the mattress felt a little firm and our room for four came with just two towels. We brought our own pillows for comfort. The staff were neither especially warm nor rude. We visited in February for the San Juan festival, and the location near the cathedral suited us well. We had a very good stay and would recommend it.

The bathroom has no separate ventilation, and its window opens into the bedroom. Shower steam made the room feel damp and stuffy, and the odors lingered there too. They don't supply shampoo, soap, or other toiletries. Aside from that, the place was clean and pleasant, and everything else was great. ⭐

The room itself was fine, and the service was very good. They also offer complimentary coffee or tea. My only complaint was that housekeeping came quite late, maybe because there was only one person cleaning all the rooms. Keep in mind there isn't an elevator, which makes the stairs very difficult for older guests who can't climb them. There are two ground-floor rooms, but you'd need to check whether one is available.

On February 22nd, they gave us shelter and looked after us so well. We're very grateful for the kindness they showed their guests. They're wonderful people. May God and the Virgin of San Juan de los Lagos bless them for what they did.
