Hotel Posada Bugambilias

There’s a cute café right across the street with good coffee. The rooms are budget rooms, probably fine for one night. My reservation experience was lousy, though. The service was rude and they didn’t honor my booking. It seemed they had double-booked, and their customer service was extremely unprofessional. They dealt with the problem, but it took over an hour to find me a similar room after giving my original room to someone else.

It felt safe and was tidy enough, with no frills, an affordable price, and an easy walk to all the sights. We got one of the last rooms, and it was pretty bleak and dark. The sheets and pillows maybe weren’t very fresh. The TV volume didn’t work, and the management guy couldn’t fix it.

The staff were friendly and great, day and night. The location is excellent, close to restaurants and a juice bar. It can get a bit noisy sometimes early in the morning.

The rooms stay naturally cool, with nice shade, so there’s no air conditioning.
