Santosí by Inmense

The bed was clean and comfortable, and even though our basic room felt a little tight and the shower pressure was weak, those weren't deal breakers. We needed help arranging a bus to San Miguel de Allende because booking online was giving us trouble and we don't speak Spanish fluently. The staff called the bus station and sorted it out with us. Great location, and I'd gladly stay here again.

Breakfast lets you choose waffles, and the staff were very attentive. Our room was spacious, with a king bed and a great shower. The only trouble was the toilet didn't always flush properly. It's a lovely hotel right in the center.

I chose the Honeymoon suite for its hot tub, and it was cozy and beautiful. Santosi treated us really well, and the reservation came with a bottle of wine and dessert. Breakfast was great too. Just know you need to ask for drinking water, at least that was our experience. The hotel is a nice change if you want to relax, but it can get really hot in spring and summer because historical rules don't allow air conditioning.

The bar across the street gets noisy on weekends, roughly until 1am, and the single-pane windows don't block much of it. If noise bothers you, keep that in mind. We stayed from Saturday to Monday. The rooms are lovely, the staff are warm and service minded, and the location is great. Breakfast was good too.
