Redwood Villas Extended Stay

The villa was spacious and sophisticated, with a pleasant scheme of mostly cool colors that made it restful. All three bedrooms were upstairs, while the first floor had a half bathroom and the common areas. There was a balcony, a patio, and parking right in front of the villa. The yard is huge, with a little playground for kids and a very nice pool. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, with no frozen food. The staff were courteous and took care of all my many needs. This was better than most of my hotel stays, and I highly recommend it.

The grounds were kept clean, there’s a pool and security, and the staff were friendly. I had a nice two-bedroom suite with a bathroom for each room, and breakfast was decent. The shower drained poorly, the toilet didn’t flush well and had a bad lid, and the bed was hard as a rock.

Everything else was great, but getting money back has been a hassle. I paid for 20 days up front, then my company sent me back to another project in the USA. It’s been almost a week of texting with them to get my refund. My advice is to pay as you go. Rental cars have been the same way: taking your money is easy, giving some back is a different story.

I’m never staying here again. I was charged for two nights I didn’t stay and haven’t been able to get anyone to answer my calls about a refund. The staff were hardly ever in the office and did nothing about neighbors playing loud music at unreasonable hours. There was no overnight administrative help, so if you have an emergency, you’re out of luck. The neighbors’ noise kept disrupting sleep. The entire suite stank like a septic system, and of the four TVs, only one remote might work. The place didn’t feel safe. The office entrance seemed okay, but getting to the room meant going through a dark back alley with no lights or security cameras. The gate had to open toward your car, and often nobody was watching. We’d stand in the dark alley waiting over five minutes for someone to notice us. These very unprofessional people can’t be trusted. One star is already too generous.
