Our group has tried speaking respectfully with these neighbors, but for many months they’ve let their dog out every morning to defecate on the sidewalks. The dog also gets into the trash and drags it all over the neighborhood. People across the mesa del Malanquín colonia are left cleaning up the mess again and again. They are awful neighbors.

Don Javier, the manager, welcomed us warmly and looked after us well. This rustic Mexican-colonial hotel has eight rooms on the outskirts of San Miguel de Allende. Our room was small, but had what we needed for a good night’s sleep. The linens were spotless and in excellent condition, and the bathroom vanity area, with its large mirror, was spacious enough for two people. I’d recommend it for a relaxing stay if you’ll be out all day.

A very nice hotel, really excellent. The one issue was that the bathroom took a long time to warm up, and sometimes the water stayed lukewarm.
