I was relieved to have only booked one night. The room was basic, with no table, no exterior windows and hardly any space around the sink. It was room 3, just behind reception and the main entrance, so there was very little privacy. There were plenty of warnings about what I'd have to pay if I damaged anything. The shower drain was awful. After a quick shower, water covered the bathroom and reached the bed, and it still hadn't dried by morning. I had to use a towel to dry my feet every time I went in there. Nearly 990 mxn for that is unbelievable. I've stayed in cheaper hotels in western Europe that offered more. The hotel is tucked away in a barely marked alley, not especially close to either the bus station or the city center. Getting inside was a mess, too. Before I arrived, an AI 'assistant' asked when I'd get there and said it would send access codes at 15:00. I arrived after 15:00, late, and there were no codes; the front door was locked. When I contacted it, it repeated that the codes would be sent by 15:00. A cleaner eventually let me in after I knocked several times and gave me the room key, then left before giving me the code. I messaged the other number listed on the desk, for their hotel in Guanajuato, and got another useless AI reply. It said a human agent would answer soon, so I waited. In the end, that other number was the only place I got the codes from. Maybe they should treat guests more personally. Do they really have so many guests that they need an AI? I never met a staff member during my stay. At least there was free water at the mostly empty reception.
