I stayed three nights and really enjoyed it. My room was clean and comfortable, the shower was great, and I liked sitting on the street-facing balcony to enjoy the view. There was no problem with noise. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there’s a nice parking area. The restaurant made breakfast convenient before heading out. It’s a bit of a walk to the sights, which is good exercise, and there’s much less traffic than near the square. The value for the money is very high. I’ll stay here again when I return.

I stayed for several days in SMA. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean, well kept, and the staff are friendly. Hot water was reliable, and the showers were spacious. The city center is about a mile away, so I usually walked. If I felt lazy or it was too hot, I took a cab for $50MEX (approx. US$2.5). I’d rather spend less on a hotel and put my money toward food and drinks, so this place worked perfectly for me. There’s an independently operated laundromat five minutes away. Drop off clothes in the morning and they’ll deliver them to the hotel the same day.

The rooms are a little small, but for the price I can live with that. The staff are friendly, and there’s an incredible cafe on site plus another really delicious restaurant in the complex. This place feels like such a find, especially in SMA, where affordable stays aren’t usually the priority.

The shower pressure was wild, like standing in a hurricane, and it’s handy that Hotel La Estacion is close to the bus station. The rest was just okay. I paid 990 pesos and expected a bit more, though I guess San Miguel is an expensive town. The room took until the middle of the night to cool down. I thought the air conditioning might actually have been just a fan, but maybe it was simply cooler outside by then. Fine for a night, but nothing special.

The staff were absolutely the best, and the rooms were dated but clean and good. It’s a good value, and I’d stay here again. Being right by the bus station worked really well for me, though Centro is a decent walk away.
