Lool Beh Hostal & Spa

Lool hostel is about a 15-minute walk toward the centro, so wear comfortable shoes for SMA’s cobblestone streets. The rooms were clean, and the beds comfortable, though the pillows could be better. The room felt a little stuffy until we opened the windows and doors. Breakfast was simple, with fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal, and coffee. There are two well-behaved dogs on the property. I enjoyed my stay and would come back.

The hosts and their lovely dogs made the stay especially nice. I really liked this hostal, in a pretty, safe neighborhood about a 15-minute walk from the main church in San Miguel de Allende. There’s a coworking space and a shared area where guests can gather, with cards to play too. I had a great time here.

The owner was really helpful and kind, and I loved the two cute dogs. Everything was clean, organized, and nicely arranged, from the kitchen, which has what you need, to the outdoor and upstairs sitting areas. Breakfast was good. There’s only one bathroom on each floor, but that was enough for the guests since there are just two dorms with four people each. Literally the best hostel I’ve stayed at. I’d love to come back!

Daniela was very kind and helped with every question we had. The house is beautiful, clean, and stylish, and the kitchen is well equipped. We were four people, but there were only three stools at the bar, and we missed having comfortable chairs and a table for meals. The neighborhood is lovely, though it’s far from the center, about a 30-minute walk. The route follows a busy, noisy main road and isn’t very pleasant. Public transportation is an option, but construction was underway at the main junction while we were there.
