Hotel Villas Deja Blue & Restaurant

We’ve now spent a month here for the third time, and we’re already looking forward to coming back next year. The location works well for us, close to grocery stores and a gym, with the ocean not far away. There’s also a nice-sized pool. Our king room had a comfortable bed and a good-sized bathroom with a large shower. Queen rooms are available too. The kitchen is small, but had most of what we needed, including a roomy fridge and a modest four-burner stove that was perfectly adequate for cooking meals. The living room chairs, loveseat, and couch are especially comfortable, which hasn’t been true of furniture at many places we’ve stayed. Silvia’s restaurant beside the hotel serves very good breakfast. The property is well cared for, and when something needs fixing, Dennis takes care of it promptly. Housekeeping comes once a week and does a good job; you can ask for more frequent service if you’d like.

The location came highly recommended by locals, and as a solo woman traveler I felt safe and comfortable here. It’s close to everything, with a family-owned restaurant on site. Silvia and Dennis were wonderful to work with, and communication was great. They were kind, and the amenities were fantastic.

I’ll be back as soon as I can. The staff were attentive and wonderful, the street stayed quiet, and the AC was cold. Those are three things I look for when I travel. What I valued most was how it felt like joining a welcoming community rather than staying in the kind of structured hotel I’m used to in the States. People knew each other by name and treated guests like family. I left with great memories. 10/10, would recommend. I gave it four stars because all the five-star reviews can make a place seem inauthentic, almost AI-written. This hotel itself didn’t feel that way.

Silvia’s breakfast was delicious, and I made a point of stopping by each day to recover from the tequila the night before. It’s a handy base for a dive trip, two blocks from a major market and a coffee shop, with downtown sights and bars within walking distance. This was my first visit, and I found the owners welcoming and accommodating. They treated us like old friends and did what they could to make our stay a good one.
