Ana and her team and family gave our small group of ten a wonderful welcome to Mexico during our two-night stay. The accommodation and service were exceptional, and the morning meals and dinners in the cabana felt magical. The meals had been arranged and catered ahead of time, since this small hotel doesn't otherwise offer food service. That arrangement let us enjoy fantastic box lunches and sit-down dinners from Antonia and her team at Kooben Laab. Ana and Antonia made our Cozumel visit memorable.

The staff at Villas El Encanto made us feel welcome from beginning to end, with the warmth of a family-run business. We had originally planned to stay at a hotel in centro, and I'm glad we changed our minds. It's a five-minute drive to the center. I'd suggest renting a scooter if you plan to explore the island, or taking a mototaxi into town and back, which is really cheap at around 40 pesos. We'd definitely stay here again.

We booked a couple of nights and really liked the cute place and quiet neighborhood. The unit was clean and nice, and the AC worked great. I hadn't realized the kitchen was separate from the unit, unlike what the pictures suggested, and you can hear people there during the day. It wasn't too loud, and we were mostly out anyway. You'll need a scooter or car to get around. Restaurants and stores are walkable, but about 15-20 minutes away, and it was really hot and humid during our stay. Once we rented a scooter from the hotel, getting around was easy. We loved the place and would recommend it for a budget-friendly stay.

We’d absolutely come back. The grounds are gorgeous and calm, with tropical gardens, pools, and lots of spots to hang out, including tables, hammocks, loungers, and shared kitchens. It feels nothing like a big resort since there are only 14 individual apartments spread around. Our room was well appointed, and the service was great.

The room was clean, but it felt really closed in and had no windows. The TV was tiny, about the size of a thumbnail, and when we came back to watch the Super Bowl it wouldn’t work or change channels.
