We slept really well here, and the bed was amazing. The rooms are spacious, and just four or five of them open onto a lovely garden passage where you can have breakfast. The staff were friendly, and there’s plenty to do within walking distance in the heart of Cholula. Parking is the drawback: there isn’t any on site, though a few paid spots are available for around 200 pesos a day. I’d have rated it 4.5 if I could. Great for couples or small families, and recommended.

We stayed one night in the first week of May 2016, when the days were getting warmer but evenings were still cool. The split-level rooms are beautiful and have plenty of space, though they can get a bit warm in summer. I wish there’d been a fan or air conditioning. Breakfast was the usual Mexican spread of eggs, beans, bread, and coffee. The hotel is close to the pyramid tunnel entrance and the city center, or zócalo. For dinner, I’d recommend Jazzatlan across the road. Posting this review a little late.

We felt like part of the local community, from the friendly couple who run the place to the restaurants nearby. It was a lovely introduction to Puebla, and we’d come back just to see the friendly little dog again. The place is cute and homey, clean and bright, and yes, there are grasshoppers!

Cholula is easy to explore from this hotel. The archaeological site, craft vendors, shops, and other restaurants are close by, and there’s a great jazz club and restaurant across the street. There’s also a breakfast restaurant on site. Very nice hotel and great staff.

I really like the hotel’s more sustainable, socially responsible approach. The service, amenities, and room quality were all wonderful.
