Hotel De Cervantes

We had the family room, and the price is way too high for its quality. The bathroom smelled really bad the whole time, maybe a plumbing problem. The beds were dirty and the blankets stank. Do yourself a favor and skip this stinky place. Check other hotels before you arrive in San Sebastian. Awful experience at this hostel.

I only spent one night here, but I was already in love with the place. It was the only spot in town that let me stay with my dog. The owner and his daughter, I think, were really friendly and even chatted with me at night. I also got the nice double room for half price since I was traveling alone.

The towels and sheets were old, and the hygiene was suboptimal. The main problem, though, was being woken up at 2 a.m. by the owners, or maybe their friends, who clearly knew each other, having a party with the lights on and music playing. It went on until 3:30, and we couldn’t sleep during that time. It showed how little respect they had for the guests. If you want a proper night's sleep, I’d avoid Hotel Cervantes.

Right off the square, in a quaint spot. The beds were uncomfortable, so it was just a place to shower and move on. I’d spend a bit more for a better night’s sleep.
