The worst! On my last night, I slept for only an hour because people were partying in a downstairs room and playing music all night. At 4:30 AM, I'd had enough and complained. Eventually, the person at the desk went to speak to them, but nothing changed. I had to yell at the guests myself, and that didn't help either. I wouldn't recommend renting here to anyone.

Benjamin gave us great service. He speaks English and shared helpful suggestions for restaurants and things to do. We had hibiscus water, mole enchiladas, coffee, and pastries, and everything was great.

The staff were friendly and the traditional architecture and decor were nice, but the hotel itself was awful. It took ages for hot water to come through, so at first I thought it wasn't working. The shower spigot seemed clogged or broken and sprayed everywhere except on you. Lots of things were rusty or didn't work. The plugs wouldn't stay in when I tried charging my phone, and the cable and TV didn't work properly. I could turn the TV on but couldn't turn it off. There's no AC, and the hot tub looked dirty and possibly broken. The bed was really hard, and when other guests were there, you could hear everything outside. I booked four nights but left after one. Parking is far away.

This place suits people who value culture, architecture, and a touch of late 19th-century style from after the French intervention. The room I stayed in still had old square star-patterned floor tiles and masonry walls two to three feet thick. Even the ceiling stained glass, though current, adds a bit of extra luxury. It's not really for someone looking for lots of comfort or amenities.

The place is beautiful, but the huge chandelier is the best part. It hangs all the way down and doesn't light up, haha, so it's lovely as decoration.
