The Latit Hotel Querétaro

From the outside it looked nice, and the reviews seemed promising, but inside it felt like a fancy motel. The WiFi in room 10 was poor, so we asked to move. Then the AC in the other room didn’t work, and the fix they showed us in the pictures was the solution. We didn’t want to keep moving our things up and down, so we stayed, but I wouldn’t come back on my next visit. The air from that machine did no good.

We chose this place because it was near the airport, since we had an early flight after a week in San Miguel. Our room was dark and small, and there was someone else’s suitcase, toiletries, and shoes in the closet. We waited in the restaurant while they got another room ready, but the facility felt run down and gave me a bad feeling. It looked nothing like the photos or reviews suggested, so we left and went to a chain hotel in the city. I wanted to give it zero stars, but one was the minimum.

The front desk clerk was friendly and spoke English, and the rooms were clean and spacious. Still, the place felt creepy. It’s a huge, old colonial fort beside a busy highway. I was the only woman there, and I think I may have been the only guest, which felt spooky.

It’s dirty and a little creepy, with a lot of noise from the busy highway right alongside it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Saving a few minutes on the morning drive to QRO airport isn’t worth it. Stay in town and get up earlier.
