Casa Pata Salada

My wife and I had an amazing few days at Casa. Our room was huge and clean, with a beautiful ocean view, and we loved the pool and the three resident cats. The property is right on the beach, yet a few blocks away from the main strip noise. I can't recommend it enough.

We loved spending time on the patio, and the suite had everything we needed. The shower was amazing, with an open window facing the ocean, and the whole room quickly became our favorite. The grounds were beautiful, the pool sparkling clean, and we enjoyed hiking to nearby secluded beaches. Best of all, we could hear the waves all night and in the morning. It was such a quiet, relaxing stay, close to the beach for morning walks and evening strolls into town. We're very happy with our stay and will definitely come back.

I'm disappointed and honestly doubt the refund is coming. I had to cancel my stay planned for the end of October for medical reasons. Since I'd stayed here before and really enjoyed it, I appreciated that they offered to relist the room and refund any nights that got booked. But after three weeks from the cancellation, on 11/20, I still hadn't heard anything, so I contacted them. They said the refund would come within a few weeks and they'd keep me updated. I followed up on 12/5 and was told it would be posted within a week. Two more weeks passed; on 12/20, with no tracking information or update, I reached out again. They said it was processing and should arrive in 10-14 days. As of 1/1, nothing had come through. The company has been very untimely and hasn't proactively kept me updated once. I doubt anything would have happened if I hadn't kept contacting them. This is a hard review to write, but at this point it feels necessary.

The beach views are lovely, and the units are beautiful. Staff were helpful and courteous, and you can walk to plenty of shops and restaurants. Golf cart rentals are easy to find. It’s a laid-back community and we loved it, though there are a lot of stairs, so be ready to climb.
