Matty, the face of the hotel, went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. She was friendly and professional, and shared helpful information about Sayulita. We had a fantastic time, with free daily breakfast, yoga, and a short 10-15 minute walk to downtown and the beaches. Don Bonito is the place to stay in this great town. Thank you all so much!

The location worked really well for us: it’s peaceful, yet easy to walk to everything. We rented a golf cart to explore farther out, but you don’t need one for town or the beach. We were also happy with the stay from start to finish. The shared areas are clean, thoughtfully designed, and even smell lovely, especially the lobby. Rooms are a typical boutique-hotel size, with good lighting and storage, effective AC, crisp sheets, comfortable pillows, blackout curtains, and beach blankets. The restaurant has good choices, and the included breakfast is filling and healthy. Matty looked after us throughout, and Eliam was friendly and helpful at breakfast. There’s no on-site parking despite what Google says, but we found a spot easily and the car was fine. We’d definitely stay again.

The beach access nearby is quieter and more secluded than the popular main beach. We also liked Sayulita best at night, once many visitors had headed home, so staying overnight at Don Bonito makes sense. It’s an easy walk to the main part of town. The hotel itself is a cute boutique place with great shared spaces and a nice coffee shop attached for mornings. The rooms are fairly simple, but the look is lovely.

Coming back to a cool, comfortable room after being out was a real highlight. Don Bonito Boutique Hotel is beautiful, has great style, and is well located. We especially enjoyed the pool and the lovely staff. Matty was friendly the whole time, and the cafe on the property was a nice bonus. We recommend staying here.

The hostess made us feel welcome right away, and the café was great. Our included breakfast was simple but nice. The hotel is really pretty, smells amazing, and has spacious rooms with a great shower. We didn’t get to try the pool because we wanted to spend as much time at the beach as possible, though it looked lovely. There’s also a nice upstairs terrace for sitting in the sun with a book. The only drawback is the walk to the beach and downtown, but it’s not too bad, about 5-10 minutes through the markets.
