Villas Vista Suites Sayulita

We had a great time here last week. There are two pools to choose from, one by the lobby and another about 50 m from the accommodations, through the gate on the left. And yes, there is hot running water. The walk from Sayulita plaza up to the accommodations is short but steep. If you’re not in the mood for the extra steps, there are plenty of places to rent a golf cart or other small vehicles, though everything is within walking distance. Staff were friendly and patient with my limited Spanish. It was a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The location is the one real plus, since it’s close to everything. I’ve been here three weeks, and the room has no TV or safe for keeping my ID secure. The cleaning hasn’t been very good, and the pool is so cold it feels like a polar bear dip. With my severe arthritis pain, this place doesn’t work for me. I’m also disappointed that the dishes can’t go in the microwave. I’ll make the best of the rest of my stay, but I won’t return. That’s why I’m giving the hotel two stars.

We got a good price and a convenient spot near the little town and beach. There’s a slight uphill walk, but it wasn’t a big deal, and the sheets were clean. They also let us check in and check out late. The shower pressure was so low that I couldn’t get a proper shower, and the air conditioning was loud enough that I’d bring earplugs. We ran out of drinking water, then went two days without it being replaced.

The location is good, but the room and service were terrible. The shower was pretty much unusable, and the AC stopped working for the final two days. They may even charge you if you use a roll of toilet paper. I really wouldn’t recommend staying here. Spend a little extra and avoid this place, you won’t regret it.
