Hotel Casona de Sisal

Everyone we met was so sweet and welcoming, and the service was great. Breakfast was included and outstanding, and there’s a restaurant on site. The room was lovely and super clean, with nothing we didn’t like. We’d have appreciated a mini fridge for our water, though. The hotel is half a block from the beach. At check-in, we asked where to get some service, and they sent us to PESCADERIA JULY, about 13 steps from the hotel. It doesn’t look like much, and the kitchen could basically be your mom’s, but it had by far the best cerviche we’ve ever eaten!

Way overpriced. The bedding had stains, and the bathroom was disgusting, with green mildew all over the shower head. The AC was super loud, along with strange mechanical noises that went on all night. Don’t expect to sleep. Look elsewhere.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I’ve traveled all over the world, and this is the only place where they refused my credit card at check-in, even though they’d used that same card to take a deposit when I booked. It was late in the day, and this is a very small town with few places to stay. I asked for help, but they wouldn’t help me at all.

Hotel La Casona de Sisal is in the best location possible, right next to an amazing restaurant and across the street from a store with everything you need. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly.
