Marvic Hotel

It was so easy to walk from here to the beach, restaurants, and clubs, a really convenient spot. Pablo was friendly and great. You can rent bikes and mopeds too. I'd stay again for the service.

The hotel is right by both the beach and 5th Ave, and I couldn't have picked a better place. My room was lovely, comfortable, and spotless. Gina at reception was so helpful and kind, and got me set up with everything I needed, including activities.

Don't go here, avoid it. I didn't feel safe. They try to rip guests off, and things are often stolen from rooms while you're out, even from the safe. Check the reviews. There was no toilet seat in our bedroom bathroom. We complained to reception, but they didn't seem to care and made silly excuses. They never fixed it, which was unacceptable. The electronic doors and access cards kept causing trouble, and a few times the faulty locks made it impossible to get into our room. Wi-Fi was too poor to watch even a simple film at night, and the hot water was only a little warm. The shower had curtains, and there were no views, just buildings all around. The rooftop pool and BBQ seating area were in poor condition. The two reception staff didn't care about our well-being and seemed interested only in our money. At checkout they charged extra for whatever they could, in our case for imaginary stains on old bathroom towels. Unbelievable.

The room was tiny, but cozy, and laid out thoughtfully. I liked the large TV, the mirror, and especially the comfortable king bed. It's a small hotel with five floors plus the terrace where the pool and restaurant are. The pool is on the R floor, about 1.20 meters deep, with sunbeds where you can relax afterward. There are bathrooms there, though I wish they'd added a shower. A water fountain for refilling bottles or getting a cold glass in the middle of the night is a nice extra. Check-in is at 3 p.m., and I appreciated that checkout isn't until noon. I was impressed and would definitely return soon.
