The food was tasty and nicely presented, and the quality was good. The room was cute, cozy, quiet, and nice, with plenty of trees and nature around. The employees were very kind, and the restaurant staff worked hard, but there just aren't enough of them. The same waiter was handling check-ins too, so service was extremely slow. Check-in took ages, then I was handed a key with barely any directions to my cabin. There was no room service, and after 6pm it was hard to find anyone around or get an answer by phone. The pool situation was frustrating. About 80% of the people using it seemed to be day visitors who paid $150 pesos, and by the time hotel guests wanted a swim, it was already full. That's unfair to people paying $3,000 for a night and then unable to use the pool. There are two pools, and the outdoor one is extremely cool. I'd suggest hiring more staff and keeping the warm pool for guests, or limiting day passes. The place has a lot of potential. They said the tiny road was only a few minutes away, but to me it felt more like 15 minutes from the highway.
