Cockroaches in the bathroom sink and filthy, almost greasy floors made this a horrible stay for my family. We’ve traveled around Mexico, and this isn’t standard. When we told the staff about the insects, they treated us as if we were being punished. The customer service was absolutely awful. The Hampton Inn down the street was acceptable, though they also harassed my disabled husband about his US Government issued Service Animal. Thank heavens we don’t run into so many problems in Monterrey, but there really isn’t anywhere nice to stay in Tampico. This place was a complete dumpster fire. Never again.

The location is great, with lots of restaurants within walking distance. I stayed one day and found the hotel cozy. There was hardly any vegetarian food on the menu, but the hotel was accommodating and made me a vegetarian meal.

This place was disgusting, with roaches, mice, and staff and management whose character I found questionable. The public harassment of people with disabilities was shocking, and I’m completely serious about that. I could keep going.

Amigo Caesar is the best, he works in the cafe here! The rooms have European outlets, so if you’re from Ru/Asia, bring an adapter for your smartphone and other devices. They should change the bed linen in the rooms more often.
