TESSA B.
The room was small, clean, and affordable, and it's close to downtown Tapachula. Food was delicious, the service was excellent, and they had cold beer plus a good variety of tequila. If you like spices, ask for Chile Chocolate. It's an excellent combination.

I come to Chiapas for the tuna-stuffed avocado and tlalpeño soup at Los Jarrones. I order them every time, and they always hit the spot. I like them with a pitcher of Claricot, made with lemonade, vodka, red wine, diced apples, and ice. It's a little like sangria, only sweeter. I added a whole bottle of tempranillo to my half-empty pitcher, and it was very good! Fernando was an outstanding waiter, friendly and happy to help. Chepis, the manager and an old friend from years ago, had the live music running smoothly. If you like Mexican pop and romantic songs from the 70s through the 90s, this is your kind of place. The buffet seems popular with locals, too. This is a review of the restaurant on the bottom floor of the hotel. I first found Los Jarrones 23 years ago, when it had live music. Mr. Machado was a great interpreter of Ricardo Arjona. I've had my trip down memory lane, so that's enough of that. Come to Chiapas and enjoy.

The hospitality was very good, and breakfast was excellent. Our room was clean, and there's a secure parking area, though it's separate from the hotel.

We had a big room with a wide bed, which I loved. The hotel is right in the heart of Tapachula, so it's easy to explore the city on foot.

Nice rooms, friendly staff, and a good price.
