The parrot in the garden talks to you! The restaurant attached to the hotel has good food and coffee, too. It's a real classic hotel in a key spot in Centro, with service and location that are great for the price. I had no complaints, had a great stay, and would have stayed longer.

The bathroom had great water pressure and all the basics I needed for a one-night stay, including soap, shampoo, and towels. The hotel also has parking on the property, which felt much safer than leaving a car on the street. For stronger free Wi-Fi, ask for a room nearer reception or the lobby. I needed somewhere right in town, close to shops and restaurants, and this place fit the bill. Lots of places are an easy walk away.

Our rooms were okay, though dated, but the staff made up for that. We arrived by bus and were able to check in around 7:30 in the morning, which was great. I'd stay there again.

The rooms are fairly spacious, but the lighting is too dim. The TV isn't good, though you probably wouldn't use it anyway, and the AC could be better. Depending on which room you get, it can also be pretty noisy at night. The hotel is in a very good central location. The restaurant has good food, there's a place to exchange money for Mexican pesos next door, and the people are very friendly.

The rooms were very clean, and the location and security at Hotel Fenix are fantastic. There's parking inside, and shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. The downsides were the very cramped king room, where it was hard to move around, and the TV on the dresser was about the size of a computer monitor.
