A place to spend the night.

This little hotel feels cozy and rustic, and the staff made the whole stay especially lovely. The price, service, and cleanliness were all excellent. I'd happily come back.

A relaxing stay, just one block from the center of Tapalpa. The garden is lovely and well cared for, with coffee tables, and even the room keys and main entrance key have a colonial-era look. The manager was friendly and easy to talk to. Our room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and there was natural water, shampoo, soap, hot water around the clock, internet, and cable. We hope to return soon.

It's a good option only a block from the main church, and I think $800 is fair, especially over the holidays. The hotel has no parking, but it was impeccably clean. Bring a small power strip if you have several devices, since there aren't enough places to plug them all in at once. The inside has lovely details, with plants that made me feel like I was at my grandmother's house, even though the facade isn't much to look at. Our small room had thoughtful touches and felt homey as soon as we walked in. The rustic bathroom was charming, but the shower has no door, so water splashes into the bedroom. The bed is a double, and its somewhat firm mattress was just right for me, though my wife wasn't so sure. Our first impression wasn't great. The older woman at reception was curt and came across as rather despotic. We had no other lodging option near the center, so we stayed, but when we asked to see the room, she flatly refused.
