We paid 1,000 pesos for a double room at Mexeople YouTube 🌟🌟🌟Tecolutla, Veracruz. The stay was good, and they have beach chairs. It's a nice place, though drizzle made getting to our room a hassle. You have to wind around in circles because crossing the courtyard, which is a shepherd's hut, leaves you covered in mud. They really need a small path to connect the rooms.

The beds were awful, the pools were muddy, and nothing about the food was good. The enchiladas looked like vomit, the sopes were a horrible mix of masa and grease, and the ceviche cocktail was tasteless mayonnaise and cream. The internet didn't work, so there was nothing to watch on TV either. They also didn't clean the room, leaving the same sand from the day before. When I asked reception about the internet, they just said it was down and that I'd have to wait and see when it would be fixed. I regret paying for four nights. After all the problems, I asked for a refund the next day, but they refused. I was afraid to sleep there and used things to try to rip the door off. With the heat and wanting to swim in the sea, it felt like they take advantage of people. After walking around town, I found there are better hotels for the same price. Don't trust the people on motorbikes, they get commissions for bringing unsuspecting people here. I suspect the good reviews come from people who work here. Those of us who stay here and have traveled elsewhere really regret it. They won't refund you. If you don't believe me, pay for one night and see.

The rooms are on the ground floor and have a ramp, which makes them accessible for someone with mobility issues. They also include a palapa on the beach, which was fantastic. There's plenty of room for your things, and the rooms have air conditioning and Wi-Fi, so you have what you need to be comfortable. But the cleaning needs work. They didn't clean our room on the first day, only the next day after we asked. The day after that, no one even checked whether we still wanted it cleaned. That's ridiculous.

It's close to the beach, and the palapa staff were 10/10, but the hotel service was 2/10. The food and hotel prices are affordable. There was no hot water or internet, and the service staff were poor both in how they treated us and in their attitude. The cleaning staff were the only ones who were 10/10.
