The beach was the one real highlight: clean, private, and well maintained. The staff were also wonderful and did their best with what they had. Still, this is our last visit to a place that used to be our family’s favorite, with affordable prices, good food, and decent rooms. We drove more than four hours, but hotels in Manzanillo offer similar prices in better locations, so the trip no longer feels worth it. The hotel is isolated, with the city an hour away, leaving no easy option for a better meal. Food was the biggest disappointment. It seemed they relied on cream sauces to hide reused meat, rice, and vegetables from the day before. Fresh, quality meals would make a difference. Eating the same subpar food daily gets tiring, and the burger meat definitely didn’t seem real. The WiFi was nearly unusable, disconnecting every 30 minutes. It’s sad to say goodbye to a place we once loved. I hope they make changes, but until the food improves, we’ll look elsewhere.

We booked a day entry while traveling around the region, but were left waiting at the gate for about half an hour because they couldn’t find our reservation. The staff were attentive and helpful, and the beach was nice. The place is remote and isolated in a bad way. The internet never worked. Food and drinks were okay at best, so don’t expect to be impressed. The hotel infrastructure is very old, the tennis courts don’t exist, and the activities were pretty lame.

The pool and beach are nice, and the beach is free of souvenir sellers. There’s also a protected area for sea turtle nests. The hotel has everything close at hand, but bar service isn’t available all day and night. There are several bars, though they’re understaffed and the lines get long. Restaurants get packed at peak times, so expect to wait for a table. You can only reserve dinner once per stay.

The beach was clean and nice, and the food was okay, but the hotel badly needs remodeling. Everything is old and breaking. The swamp ride was awful, and the truck seemed about to break down, which was scary. Staff were rude, and they need more cleaning staff. There’s no elevator, and I was on the fourth floor. On our last night it rained and water came into our room, which was so annoying. I think new management is needed ASAP. We met a man and his family who had been coming every year for 15 years. He said this would be his last time because of all this and more. Not worth it.
