Hotel Hacienda Escondida

There’s lots of space here, including in the rooms, and the pool is lovely with nature all around. It has Wi-Fi and a dining area, but the signal is weak in some spots, especially in the cabin-style rooms. The rooms and the rest of the property could use remodeling.

The rooms are spacious, but the beds and facilities have some shortcomings.

We were tired after our trip and chose the hotel to relax by the pool away from the city, but being assigned a cabin wasn’t a pleasant experience. The TV had no signal, and nobody responded to our requests. The mattresses were old and uncomfortable, the facilities felt rustic, and the price was high for their condition. I’ve stayed in three-star hotels with much better facilities. I also wasn’t sure the sheets were clean.

There are modern rooms as well as cabins if you want a more relaxing setting. The pool is a good size and depth, and the food is varied and delicious with a home-cooked feel. They can also plan events on the grounds. It’s a place to unwind and get away from stress.
