We went home relieved to have some peace at last, after a weekend that left us feeling cheated out of the restful break we'd paid a lot for. The hotel markets itself as a quiet boutique place for relaxation, and the rates are high for the area, but it felt more like a public pool and family restaurant, or an event hall open to everyone. There were families with children who weren't guests using all parts of the hotel. Kids ran, jumped, and screamed, and played videos loudly on their phones, even near the guest rooms, while staff watched and did nothing. We asked staff to set some limits, but they didn't seem to care. Loud music played throughout the day, so we skipped the pool and stayed in our room, away from the families, who showed no consideration for guests. At night, the venue was rented for events with live music so loud we couldn't even watch TV in our room. We told the receptionist, who spent the whole time on her phone, the night before that we needed to cancel a massage. Still, on Sunday morning they showed up early and kept knocking hard on our door until they woke us. We felt like guests came last, despite paying for an exclusive, peaceful place surrounded by nature, as it was promoted. Instead, we got noise and crowds. We were very disappointed, felt fooled, and felt as if we'd been robbed.

A great spot to bring a book and unwind. It's peaceful and comfortable, the food is really good, and the service is the best. You can arrange a romantic evening and they'll have everything ready.
