The cobblestone roads look pretty, but they’re really rough on vehicles, and the place was overcrowded. We hiked all the way up to the pyramid before learning tourism was blocked from reaching the top and the gate was closed until further notice. They could have put that sign at the start of the very strenuous trail instead of at the top.

It’s a steep climb, so bring water and wear sneakers. The view is incredible, and it’s worth the effort if you’re fit enough to reach the top.
