There are plenty of food options nearby, from upscale to casual restaurants just around the corner. There's also a convenience store and plant vendors on the same street, plus a shop where you can buy a bathing suit if, like me, you forgot to pack one 😬. The location is just off the main road, and the views are spectacular. We came with our children and brought a telescope and binoculars hoping to spot a UFO, if you know, you know. The balcony was perfect for watching, and the kids had a great time. We're not far away, so we'll definitely come back for another family weekend. The hotel itself has a swim-up pool bar with cabanas, a split AC unit that worked great, and a large, clean bathroom with thoughtful decor. They provide body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. I also liked that the room had a Roku TV, so you can sign into your own streaming accounts. Breakfast is an excellent free continental spread, with tasty à la carte choices and beautiful presentation as well. The restaurant seems to run all day, and the menu looks like it can cover pretty much any craving.

The views over Tepoztlán and the mountain range were incredible, and the pool was so comfortable. Along with the room and accommodations, that made this a highlight of our two-week trip in Mexico. Service was really welcoming, and everything you need is only a 2-minute walk away. It was easy to find and get into the hotel at night. I'd highly recommend it for a night in Tepoztlán. Thanks for the service, Palacio del Cobre.

We tried Hotel Palacio del Cobre because our usual place in Tepoztlán wasn't available. It looked promising in the photos, had good reviews, and was close to town. The building feels solid and well built, and it's a replica of an old municipal structure. Its location is handy for walking to both the center and the market. For the reasonable price, I'd call it a decent 3-star option, though there are some things to work on. Our third-floor room was roomy and clean, with a charming view, and the bathroom was clean and functional too. The stairs are manageable if you can do them, but there's no elevator at the moment. Service was friendly and efficient from the start. The biggest issue was hot water. On our floor it took nearly 5 minutes to get lukewarm, and the pressure was barely a trickle. A water pressurizer could make a big difference. Breakfast was pretty minimal, just fruit and toast or juice, not both. À la carte items are available, but if you're hungry, eating elsewhere in town is probably a better bet. The unheated pool felt refreshing on a hot day, but loud music played nonstop through the afternoon and even during breakfast. It took away from the peaceful setting and lovely views. With better hot water and some attention to the atmosphere and food, this could be a 4-star stay. As it is, you get what you pay for. ⭐ 3.5 stars

The hotel's location made it easy to explore the lively town and nearby attractions, and I appreciated the property's distinctive design, with local art and culture throughout. Staff were accommodating and friendly, making sure our needs were taken care of. The atmosphere and hospitality made for a pleasant getaway, and it seems like a lovely place to relax and enjoy Tepoztlán. I'm grateful I got to stay at Palacio Del Cobre.
