We never even got to stay. When my partner and I arrived, “Beto” greeted us warmly and showed us a very dirty room. He said someone had just checked out and he’d clean it right away, asking us to give him two hours. We paid and went out while we waited, but when we returned the room looked exactly the same. We called to ask him to clean it, since he wasn’t even there, and after another 40 minutes he finally showed up, only after we kept insisting. We asked for our money back, and he was rude and dismissive. We were desperate to rest, but the owner clearly doesn’t care about customer service. I absolutely don’t recommend it.

A poor breakfast barbecue choice: no salsa, tea, bread, or pico de gallo. The bathroom is filthy, and there’s another problem with the bill: beer is listed at 25 on the menu, but they charge 50 when you pay. Terrible.

It’s a nice, inexpensive place close to the center. Just be aware that the inn’s style means there are unusually large crickets around, so I wouldn’t recommend it if insects bother you. The rooms also have no TVs.

I’m sorry to say our night at Posada de Ana was awful. My girlfriend and I couldn’t get a decent night’s sleep because the dogs are chained up with long leads that let them roam the whole roof. There’s also a strong, constant sewage smell, the toilet leaks, and the water service is terrible. They shut it off whenever they want without warning. The TVs in every room are just for show, since none work, and the Wi-Fi is poor. Reception is often empty, so if they’ve forgotten toilet paper, water, or anything else, you have to go outside and ask for it. The service is dreadful. I’d give Posada de Ana no stars if Google let me. 08/15/16
