The location and views are great, and the place was clean, though the hotel itself is old and worn. The waiter was attentive, but both times we tried the restaurant the food arrived cold and tasted bland. The quality doesn’t come close to justifying the prices. Watch out for the “mini margarita”: it cost twice as much for half a glass, and it was the worst one I’ve had in Mexico. I’d look elsewhere for better value. This was a one-time visit for me.

The outdoor pool and the restaurant service were the only things I liked. The hotel lets outside visitors use the pool, which felt unsafe to me and made it noisy. The equipment is old, and the hotel smelled bad. I was in room 809, where the bathroom door wouldn’t open all the way. There’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms, so check before booking, since the Google Maps listing is misleading. I don’t think I’ll come back.

I had a reservation booked months ahead, but they cancelled it out of nowhere just two days before I was due to arrive. They already had my card details, email, and phone number, yet did nothing. The staff showed a terrible attitude, with no customer service or accountability. A really awful experience.

The lake views are beautiful, but the amenities and pool are pretty basic. Their on-site restaurant charges a lot for food and drinks. It’s nice enough, though I’m not sure the prices are justified.
