Hotel La villa

We paid $800 for a night for two, which felt like a good deal when rooms in Tequila usually go for around $1100. The rooms are basic, small but comfortable, and clean. Ours had cable TV, internet, and air conditioning; parking is two blocks away. The upstairs rooms have balconies looking out over the main street in the center. Reception staff were friendly, and the location is super convenient. Being right in the heart of Tequila does mean some noise.

I wouldn't recommend Villa Tequila. We had no internet, couldn't watch broadcast TV, and found there was no hot water in the morning, so we couldn't shower. We raised the problems with the morning reception staff, who contacted the manager. He said we could talk at 5 pm, but we explained our schedule meant we couldn't stay until then. We never got a satisfactory response as guests.

Room #7 was unbearably hot because the air conditioning never worked. The ceiling fan shook and made so much noise that I thought it might fall on me. There was also no parking available, even though I checked for it before booking because I knew parking there could be difficult and expensive. The person in charge tried to see what could be done, but the owner never appeared or returned our calls. I asked to move rooms and got no answer. I had a terrible night, and the whole situation really upset me. This hotel ruined my vacation, and I would never go back.

Clean, quiet, and accessible rooms. I'd definitely come back.
