Hotel Boutique La Granja

The tacos were phenomenal, and the rest of the food was delicious too. It's a pretty little boutique hotel, clean throughout, with really friendly staff. We wanted to watch football and they even let us use their break room. Thanks for that. They really do care about looking after guests. It's close to the town center, and I have nothing negative to add. Definitely recommend it if you're visiting Tequis.

I eat here all the time, whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and the food is consistently really good. The staff are kind and attentive, too. I often order takeout, and they're always welcoming and happy to accommodate me.

Right downtown, this is a cozy hotel with spacious, clean, comfortable rooms. Each room is named after a tree, and the facilities are pretty. The staff are friendly and attentive. It's a lovely place to unwind in this small city.

The room was immaculate, and the king junior suite on the second floor had a very comfortable bed. The shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water, the kind I wish I had at home. There were mosquito screens on the windows, and a big air conditioner we didn't need at that time of year. The pool was sparkling clean, and there's a hot jacuzzi you can reserve by the hour ahead of time. They also have safe, secure parking. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We could order drinks at the pool and jacuzzi, and they were fairly priced. The mojitos were 90 pesos, strong and authentic. We didn't try the restaurant food. We were in town for a weekend of wine tasting and vineyard exploring, and the hotel's central location was handy, just a short walk from the heart of Tequisquiapan. Still, a few things felt lacking for a hotel in wine country. There wasn't a fridge in the room, nor any glassware apart from the bathroom glasses. You have to rent a corkscrew for 120 pesos, and can rent wine glasses from the restaurant as well. That seemed inappropriate, especially since I bought a corkscrew for 40 pesos at a nearby tienda. We had plenty of glasses from our tours, so we rinsed and used those. I understand they may worry about wine stains on the bedding, but those could be cleaned and charged to the guest if it happens. The room was huge, so there was definitely space for a mini-fridge and even a microwave, which also wasn't provided. We were pleased with our stay, just annoyed by these small things. I'd recommend the hotel, but bring your own corkscrew and wine glasses.
