La Casona Tequisquiapan Hotel & Spa

I’ve had two meals there, both good: the breakfast buffet was okay and a good price, and lunch was yummy. I go there for an exercise class and hadn’t known about the boutique hotel before, since it’s rather out of the way and away from downtown and visitor attractions. Still, it’s beautiful, with colorful surroundings, a nice pool and green area, lots of shade, and pleasant reception staff. Apparently there are about 30 rooms. You’ll want a car or need to rely on cabs. I can’t comment on room prices or what it’s like to stay there.

The staff were so kind and gave us great service, and I felt right at home in the comfortable room. I also loved the welcoming feel of the hotel. There’s a pool, cafe, and warm area where you can sit and unwind, plus a relaxing spa and sauna. At the spa, you can choose from several lovely-smelling oils, and they offer tea, wine, or water to enjoy while you relax. There’s a nice view of the surroundings, too.

We booked a ladies’ weekend with a massage and sauna. Yaretzy gave an excellent 80-minute massage and communicated really well. Everyone was friendly, and all the areas were clean. The rooms are small, but plenty comfortable for a relaxing weekend. I’d definitely recommend it to family and friends in town.

Really affordable, quiet, and very clean, with great customer service. I love the colors and decorations.
