First Inn Hotel & Business

The beds are comfortable and the toilets are great, but the noise really got to me. You can hear every little movement in the hallway because the rooms have no sound insulation. There’s no AC either, so I was hot in the afternoon and cold at night. Just decent overall.

Breakfast was good, though we only got one breakfast included and had to pay for the others in our room. There were three of us, and we could have used more towels and blankets. The room and bed were clean. We had some trouble communicating because of the language, but the staff did try to work with us. I wasn’t completely happy with everything.

At 3 a.m. the room phone rang. The caller claimed they’d found people with drugs and firearms who might be in the hotel, said they would check rooms, and kept asking personal things like where we were from, how long we were staying, and my age. Then they said my dad had to go outside to meet them. We heard a knock, and someone saying they were the receptionist told us the calls were a fraud and to unplug the phones and stop answering. They’d been getting these calls all weekend. We left at 6:30 a.m., as soon as it was light. We didn’t sleep at all, and it was a horrible experience. The hotel was the closest decent one for us to stay at before going to the branch of Jehovah's witnesses the next day. The room was far too noisy to open the window, and there was no AC. The toilet wasn’t clean, and the matrimonial bed was too small and uncomfortable. Worst experience ever, do not stay here!

The staff were nice, at least. It’s only a step up from my garage because it’s clean. The walls feel like rice paper, and the windows like pigeon poop.
